In Humble Fashion

I recently went to see A Christmas Carol starring Jim Carrey with all of those new "razzle dazzle" special effects. The simplicity of Dickens story is timeless, however as this production started unfolding it's magic, I was stunned at the underwhelming emotional response I felt in the audience and even within myself. The over stimulation created by the visual effects numbed the senses and most especially the heart connection to DEAR SCROOGE.

I can imagine a child could even be somewhat terrified and very confused by the inconsistent images and messages delivered. Not knowing what to feel - is a pretty uncomfortable space to be in - even for the most tenured senior citizen.

I was really hoping to see a spectacular rendition, as I am always up for the latest and greatest technological advances. As I started digesting and contemplating my disappointment, it led me to another space and realization.

Perhaps, yes, just perhaps - as I searched my memory banks, I was being reminded of the pure and original story Charles Dickens created. Lost somewhere in all the literature I read in High School and through numerous renditions of my children's Middle School Plays. GOOD WILL AND PEACE ON EARTH. Suddenly my emotions were resuscitated and back in balance.

Simple and Humble were Dickens's keys to LIVING LIFE.

So everyone, may you enjoy each and every moment of the holiday season.

Happy Happy Thanks-Giving and in the words of wise old Saint Nicholas . . .

Ho Ho Ho and MARRY Christmas! (Seems like a great companion to me.) :-)

Allow yourself to be Blessed,

Back to School Time

Education is learning what you didn't even know you didn't know.
~ Daniel Boorstin ~

I had to giggle when I read this quote today, how many times - especially when I was younger - that I "thought" I knew it all.

So as the kids go back to school - give yourself permission to branch out and try something new, expand your horizons, volunteer, learn a different language, open your heart to yourself.

Who knows . . .
Maybe you'll find out you really do know, what you think you didn't know!

You are an infinite and magnificent being.

A Hop, Skip and a Jump

Yes, I have been seeing this a lot lately - people all over the place are getting ready to take the jump into something new.
So perfect for what is going on in the world around us. We are learning our lessons, letting go of what doesn't fit, doesn't feel right, and what we KNOW in our hearts doesn't make us happy and joy-full.

So let go gently, roughly, suddenly, gradually - however you can - for the gap isn't as big as you "think".
All I know -is - you'll never know what's on the other side of A Hop, Skip, and a Jump unless . . .

You just "do!"

With loving expression of the me in you and the you in me -

A Woman's Value

I was on a radio show last week where I was interviewed and shared my story.
I also took phone calls and did a few intuitive readings. As usual, I noticed the show
was taking on a theme. This time it hit close to home - A woman's value and her worthiness.

For years I struggled with low self esteem and value for my self. Was I really aware of this as a
young woman? No - not really -I had not been taught or shown that women should hold themselves
with value and self-worth. Did this ignorance and unawareness bring to me others who also didn't
value me, honor me, cherish me? Absolutely!

We must value ourselves - cherish ourselves - love ourselves before we can totally engage and attract
people that will do the same. It's one of those keys that always fits, always works. Use it, try it out for
your self.

You deserve it, you're worth it - you are a unique and valuable infinite being. Created in the image
of the creator.

Now who could argue with that?

Love is with you . . .

Gentleness . . .

Be gentle with your self and one another.
A wise person knows this is part of the journey to true freedom.

I Do That Well!

Recently I was sorting through the costumes I have made for my children over the years. Sorting and repacking them into a container where they could all be together.

As I held each costume up, it invoked memories that were multilayered. The satisfaction and joy on my child’s face - the anticipation of the event - but also what was going on in my life at the time I diligently sewed each stitch.

I was struck by all the creativity that was stuffed into one box, and oh one more thing - I was a very good sewer and creator of costumes! I was surprised at my own adeptness and level of skill. Aknowledging what you do well is a great thing!

So appreciate something that you do well. Think about all those latent skills that you haven’t used in years. Maybe it will provoke you to express yourself in a new or different way.

Beloved you are . . .

Whew, Mr. President . . .

Oh my goodness I am so ever thankful the elections are over, and my experience in the voting cubicle was as easy as driving through Wendy's.

I have to say this has been the most interesting political battle I have witnessed in my lifetime. Enough twists and turns to satisfy even the most tenured tilt-a-whirl rider.

I won't disclose my political preferences, but I will let you in on one thing.

I am for freedom, big time.

So thank you American public for voting, and giving voice to your choices.

Thank you also, Mr. President, Barack Obama for accepting the position. We are counting on you to listen, to all of us.

Be well,
Rhonda
